Gift Card Auctions

I recently found auction sites online for buying gift cards at an extremely low price. I have tried out YouNeverLose.com and I did not like it. I don't know if I am like the last person to know about auction gift cards but I thought I would share my experience with it. YouNeverLose basically you buy points from them and spend the points on bids for these gift cards. After all the biding is done and over with the usual outcome is the winner ends up buying a 100 dollar gift card to walmart for 3.00. The reason they name it YouNeverLose is because when you buy the points you are actually also buying a gift card of your choice to certain places. So the you basically buy a 50 dollar gift card to a Nike store and then you have 50points/bids to use to bid on the other gift card auctions available. Sounds great right? Well here is what they don't mention. This is pretty much like a penny auction. You could buy that 50 points and use nearly all of that up on trying to buy that one gift card that you could really use and still end up not winning, then you have to go buy yet another gift card another store to have more bids. One bid is worth 1 cent. So when you someone wins that gift card that went up to 3.00 that's literally 300 bids. You only had 50 to use. Also on the sites facebook page I have noticed people saying something about biding bots. The auction site owner could have bidding robots basically keep bidding until the have reached a high enough price for the card then actual people would bid. Basically you could be bidding against a robot or employee of the site and use up all your bids. Because of this I found it almost impossible to win anything at all, plus I ended up with a gift card I would probably would have never spent money on otherwise. I might be different if they had a walmart gift card you could purchase for points because I always shop and spend my money there anyways so really I would not be losing anything then, but they only had gift cards to places like Nike, and other expensive places I can't afford to shop at. There is another site I tried out though called GiftCards4Less.com. This site seems a little easier to win but I would not recommend it because this site gets so little traffic that it could take literally months for an auction to win. It's the highest unique bid type of auction. For a 100 visa gift card you pay 9dollars per bid and can bid up to 10 times. You wait till all 40 bids have been place and the bidder with the highest unique bid wins. Duplicate bids don't win. For more info you can check out the site but be warned I spent 10 bucks to place 5 bids on a 50 dollar Starbucks gift card and it's been a month and I am still waiting for 16 more bids to be placed on this card for the auction to end. End note, you may have the intention on trying these gift card auctions to spend 10dollars on a 50dollar card and save some money, but I have yet to find one really worth putting money into.

Something old, but New

I just came across something interesting. I don't want to add it to my blog just yet until I have done more research on it but I can say it does have something to do with being an Affiliate. I know I have checked into being an affiliate before, but this seems different. I really hope this works out and maybe one day we can all be financially stable enough to work from home. Hi everyone, so I guess I can come out and say what it is that I found. I started looking into affiliate marketing online. I found out a lot about it, such as you really have to know the product very well before you go off and try to sell it yourself. I have to know how to do online marketing like building your own web sites and sell them from there. This is hard to do because it could take a long time and a lot of effort to get traffic to your site, and even more so to sell the product. You really have to know what your stuff when it comes to trying to sell the product. Now with that being said I had done a lot of research on a company called GRN. I really wanted and still want to try this company out. If you love travel this membership is a must. You make a killing off of selling the membership as well. It pretty much cost 5000 dollars to get started and what your doing is buying a membership, then for every membership that you sell you get 1000 of that. Normally I would totally walk away from something like this except for the fact that the membership really is something I would use. Global Resorts Network. I am waiting until I can afford to buy the membership before I start to market it myself. I have done a lot of research and found this company is as far as I can tell legit. Never been turned into the BBB, and I could not find anything bad on Rip off report either.

Data Entry

If you are a pretty fast at typing these are some legit sites that I have found through my research for Data Entry positions. Now you really do have to be pretty fast at typing and following directions. Some even like you to have good grammar.Most places that hire for data entry work will require you to take a typing test.

 

Note, if you have to pay anything to get started on any work from home sites, then chances are they are not legit. Please use caution when looking for work from opportunities.

 

-Virtual Bee.com used to be key for cash. This is a data entry position and you will need to take a test before getting accepted. You will not have to pay anything to register or start making money.

 

-Simplyhired.com has a list of Data Entry positions. You will need to pay attention to find the ones that let you work from home.

Writing E books!

Writing E books, I have found this to be the most effective way to earn money so far. If you are good at writing and you are creative. Then this may be your niche. I personally know people right now that have replaced their income by simply writing short stories and publishing them to Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Short stories are selling starting from .99 and these sites get maybe .40 per story you sell. The good part about this is, you can create a short story in as little as a day and hundreds of people buy them. All honesty you may start out slow by making 100 a month but the more stories you publish, the more money you will make. Publish 10 short stories and you could be making over 1,000 dollars a month.

 

It all really just depends on what you write and what you find that is in demand.

Right now the main target audience buying Ebooks are mostly Women, and Teen girls. That's were the money will be.

Now you can still make money writing about other topics of interest to you. In fact I would recommend writing about what interest you the most cause you want to write good material. You need to get your name out there and get people who literally research your name for your new material.

 

Writing Ebooks anyone can do, I would recommend making a small investment by buying grammar software, if you are worried about your grammar.

The best thing you can do when writing Ebooks is to use your imagination, and bring all your idea's to life by writing about them. Chances are there are other people interested in the same idea's and interested in reading about them.

If you are anything like me then you have probably been sitting up on your computer for hours into the night trying to figure out what was the best ways you could earn money from home without being scammed.

 

Here is a little background about me and why I have decided to create this blog.

 

My husband and I both worked together at the same job. We have two beautiful children together. We were faced with the fact that one of us was going to have to quit our job to stay home and take care of our children. We really had no one to help us when it came to childcare and in the end if we both kept our jobs we would end up paying to work. I was the one to quit my job that I had for the past 8 years. This was really hard for me to accept this. I had to figure out a way to help my husband pay the bills.

I am just another ordinary person out in this world trying to figure out a way to work from home. In all honesty I am still just an ordinary person trying to figure out how to do just that. I did not get rich, I did not replace my income from my previous job, but follow me and share with other ordinary people the secrets we find out about how to make some income from home.
